3 paid interns for 3-D cancer simulator usability studies
(biology/pre-med, math/engineering, and programmer/intern in computational oncology)
Seeking 3 talented undergrads (biology/pre-med, math/engineering, and computer science/engineering) for a multidisciplinary cancer simulation team. The team will work to make powerful 3-D computer models of cancer user friendly enough for diverse research teams, while testing and refining simulations of invasive breast cancer, stem cell biology, and chemotherapy. Publication and indepdendent study opportunities available. Applications due May 15, interviews May 13-17, and project to run summer 2013-spring 2014.

Part-time (paid) programmer/intern in computational oncology.
Student will assist in development of a 3-D agent-based model of cancer, image processing, graphical user interfaces, 3-D visualization, and postprocessing. Specific applications of the model will include colon cancer metastasis, breast cancer, and lymphoma. This opportunity could lead to joint authorship on multiple publications in computational and biomedical journals. One position for Spring-Summer 2013, with possible extension.
